last week this dry month of September

This week I am traveling to North Carolina to attend a big national conference of flower growers hosted by the ASCFG.  The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers has been a tremendous resource for me over the 26 years I have been growing and selling fresh cut flowers. Hard to imagine where I would be without the teachings, technical assistance and companionship the ASCFG provides its members.  A national conference is for dedicated flower farming nerds and offers a unique opportunity to find out how others do it and how we might improve.  I suspect the farm tours will be a very wet affair in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence

I’m leaving you in very good hands.  Isabella has grown up and her bouquets are even more beautiful than those she made when she was 4 years old.  She is big enough to reach the pedals of the flower truck and she is a wizard with phone calls and texts.

See you in October!
